brenda core, owner & director

After almost 30 years running Core Dance Center, Brenda became a yoga teacher and brings yoga into all classes she teaches - including dance. She is registered with the professional organization Yoga Alliance and is a certified RYT 200 Yoga Teacher. She brings a unique approach to teaching with influences rooted in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha yoga.

Aerin Higginbotham, Registered Yoga Teacher

Aerin completed her yoga teacher training with Lafayette Center for Yoga and is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.  Aerin's yoga journey was inspired by a strong background in the art of dance, ballet, and her constant search for balance. The transformative power of yoga and yoga's ability to bring balance of mind, body and spirit has kept her a regular practitioner, and Aerin is passionate to share the art of yoga throughout her community in a way that is accessible to all.  Aerin's classes are focus on breath, compassion, and awareness of the present moment, as well as meditation and acceptance. 

Jessica Romero-harmam, registered yoga teacher

 In the Summer of 2016, Jessica completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course at Lafayette Center for Yoga and is a Certified Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. If she learned one thing from her training, it is basic fact of existence… Annica, which means impermanence… all things pass. In February 2017, she attended a four-day workshop with David Williams, “Yoga for the rest of your life.” This workshop taught Jessica how to teach Ashtanga yoga in a way that makes it accessible to all people regardless of age, ability or experience. Her classes focus on being okay in the moment and learning to accept where we are, where we’ve been and what we can do today. When we can start to become okay with these things we walk through life with a little more ease and practice our yoga with kindness, love and acceptance of ourselves.
